Peer 2 Peer University- Digital Skills Detroit (LitMN) VISTA

P2PU (Peer 2 Peer University) is an organization dedicated to making learning accessible, community-driven, and equitable. We support libraries, educators, and local partners in creating free, peer-led learning experiences that help people build skills, confidence, and meaningful connections. As digital skills become essential for employment, education, and everyday tasks, many community members still face barriers to fully participating in our increasingly online world. Our AmeriCorps VISTA Digital Literacy project strengthens community capacity to close this gap by expanding access to digital learning opportunities. As a VISTA member, you will play a key role in developing sustainable systems and resources that support community-based digital literacy programming. You’ll help build partnerships, design tools and strategies for digital learning, and support initiatives that increase access to technology and digital skill-building. Your service will empower learners who have been historically underserved, ensuring they gain the confidence and knowledge needed to navigate technology and pursue personal and economic opportunities. You’ll gain hands-on experience in program development, community engagement, evaluation, and strategic planning. P2PU offers a collaborative, creative environment where experimentation, learning, and human-centered design are core values. As part of our team, you’ll have opportunities for mentorship and professional growth, exposure to national digital equity work, and the chance to contribute to meaningful, long-lasting community impact. Ideal applicants are curious, community-oriented, and passionate about digital equity. Experience with education, technology, facilitation, or outreach is helpful but not required—what matters most is a commitment to learning and a desire to help communities thrive.
