Aspire! Development and Outreach VISTA (Hybrid)
 
 
 
The Virginia Capacity Building Project supports Serve Virginia and their partners in alleviating the effects of poverty through organizational capacity building. While our project covers a wide range of issue areas, from substance use disorder to educational opportunities, all of our members are dedicated to increasing the impact and reach of volunteerism and to pursuing healthy futures for all Virginians. The efforts of our AmeriCorps members will help us build towards a healthier, happier, and stronger Commonwealth.

Member Duties : Serve your community and develop your professional skills through a year of service with AmeriCorps VISTA! In this hybrid position, the Aspire! Development and Outreach VISTA will help increase the capacity of Aspire! Afterschool learning by building, improving, and implementing systems to communicate Aspire’s work, expand their funding, and partner with the community. The Member will do this by determining areas of growth in our external communications, researching new strategies for funding avenues, and enhancing volunteer outreach and appreciation opportunities. The right fit for this position will be a strong writer, highly organized, and detail oriented, with excellent communication skills and the ability to think creatively, serve collaboratively, and serve on multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines. Applicants should also have a deep commitment to closing the educational opportunity gap. Applicants must be able to pass background checks.
