Digital Navigation Corps - Digital Navigator (NJ) (LitMN)
 
 
 
Digital Navigation Corps provides digital job readiness skills and creates pathways of economic opportunities for adults 16 years and older from low-income and historically under-invested communities. Digital Navigation Corps is a program of Literacy Minnesota, an organization that connects people to transformative learning, sparks innovation in literacy and mobilizes change. Literacy Minnesota envisions a future where literacy eliminates injustices and strengthens communities. Built on a tradition of service, and pioneering the newest resource in digital learning, Digital Navigation Corps addresses critical digital literacy needs by bringing Digital Navigators to work alongside community members who are striving to reach their professional goals. Digital Navigators will support community members through one-to-one mentorship, classroom-based instruction, and resource guide creation and referrals. Begin service 1/13/2025 (alternates available). SERVICE LOCATIONS: • Atlantic City Free Library. • Union City Public Library. • New Brunswick Free Public Library. • Pennsauken Free Public Library. • Edison Public Library. • Linden Public Library.

Member Duties : Digital Navigators conduct program participant intakes, design individualized Digital Development Plans, and provide digital literacy instruction at host sites. They support participant certification through one-to-one mentorship and group tutoring using Northstar Digital Literacy; update or create digital resource guides and make referrals to program participants based on participant intake self-identified goals; and evaluate program effectiveness through post-participation follow-up surveys that track 1) program participants' increased confidence in digital literacy skills and 2) employment gains. Members serve in-person at their host site. Digital Navigators are as diverse as the communities we serve. If you feel a call to service and want to grow your professional, digital, and leadership skills, Digital Navigation Corps is for you! Candidates who are multilingual are desired. *Linden Public Library: 40 hours/week. Flexible schedule with some evenings and weekends required.
