Florida Energy Equity Research and Development

The mission of Solar United Neighbors of Florida is to increase awareness and adoption of solar energy through education, advocacy, consumer protection and solarize programs. There is a large gap in who this information reaches, one that we hope to begin chipping away at. Increasing education and awareness of solar energy in underserved communities will lead to increased adoption and energy equity, as well as reduced energy burden. The member will help identify or develop best practices for engaging underserved communities and dispersing safe education throughout the most energy burdened communities. This project will help build our capacity to more extensively reach the communities that need it most and are at the highest risk for predatory or misleading information.
