Housing Resource VISTA
 
 
 
The Housing Resource VISTA is responsible for assisting the HOPE Helps organization with finding and obtaining information on affordable housing. This may involve conducting housing searches, screening potential housing options, providing information on rental assistance programs and eligibility requirements, and assisting with the application process. This role may also be responsible for maintaining accurate records and databases of available housing units, as well as providing information on other community resources that may be beneficial to clients. Additionally, this role may be required to work closely with property owners, property managers, and other housing providers to ensure that clients are able to access safe and suitable housing options. Key qualifications for this role may include a bachelor's degree in social work, or a related field; strong communication and interpersonal skills, experience working with diverse populations and knowledge of local housing laws and regulations. Strong organizational and administrative skills are also essential, as is the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Member Duties : Create a professional relationship on behalf of HOPE with affordable housing partners in the community so they will work with HOPE to expedite the application process for our clients and agree to house them. Develop a database of housing options to include multiple levels of information to be easily accessed. Train all relevant Resource Staff and Interns how to utilize and maintain the housing resource database.
