Community Action, Inc. of Central Texas has helped our community with economic opportunities since 1965. With an integrated service approach that incorporates community partnerships, we help people achieve economic self-reliance through emergency and ongoing supports such as health screenings, early childhood education, and adult education. Working with our team, you will gain experience in assessing community needs as well as designing and implementing a new project that weaves into existing services and helps people reach their personal and career goals.

Member Duties : The AmeriCorps VISTA member, under the supervision of the Director and Area Coordinator, will help determine the kinds of digital skills and resilience training to integrate into existing classes. The Literacy Leader will then help design lesson or lesson activities and professional development opportunities for instructional staff. Finally, they will assess the effectiveness of the plan's implementation. A strong background in digital literacy and experience working with adults is preferred. *Position is part of the Literacy Leadership AmeriCorps VISTA program of Literacy Minnesota (LitMN).
