Literacy Volunteers of Wayne County–Digital Literacy (LitMN)

The pandemic has shown that digital skills and access are more vital than ever as those without were left further behind in education, work and society. As a Digital Literacy Leader, you will help create and expand programs to provide Digital Literacy in our rural community. In the process you will exercise leadership, build professional skills and gain work experience. Most importantly, you will establish a program that will make a difference in the lives of others long into the future. Strong digital skills are a must, but so is the ability to simplify complex ideas to the level of a new learner. The mission of Literacy Volunteers of Wayne County is to change lives through literacy! We do this through a variety of activities that provide opportunities for adults to learn, encourage reading in the community, and help children succeed in school. Programs include Adult Tutoring, school-based family-focused reading enrichment, and free book programs. Our multi-layered approach reaches over 2,000 children and adults annually. Through your investment in National Service you can join us in having a significant long-term impact on our community.
