Volunteer and Engagement Coordinator VISTA - Houston, TX
 
 
 
The Texas Association of Charitable Clinics VISTA Program seeks to place members who are committed to national service and public health in the clinics throughout Texas that are dedicated to providing quality healthcare services to low-income individuals. VISTA Program members will be provided with on-going support and training, as well as invaluable experience in the healthcare field.

Member Duties : At San Jose Clinic, the Second Year VISTA member will develop and enhance the volunteer on-boarding process, continue development on partnerships and community outreach, and advance the engagement and appreciation of volunteers. Member activities include researching, documenting and developing recruiting opportunities both through direct communication with the community and an active social media presence, creating a streamlined on-boarding process utilizing various software systems such as excel, identifying and documenting additional partnership and outreach opportunities, attending community outreach events and creating and maintaining a quarterly volunteer newsletter.
