Arizona Serve - MicroCare Financial Wellness Specialist
 
 
 
MicroCare Community Development Solutions (MicroCare) supports and empowers entrepreneurs in the Tucson Community by offering technical assistance and access to local and national resources to strengthen capacity and opportunity for success. MicroCare targets underserved communities of women, youth, Native American, Hispanic, veterans, refugees, and disabled individuals to overcome barriers to employment and create their own thriving businesses. Since its founding in 2016, MicroCare has supported on average 12 new entrepreneurs annually to learn how to establish and operate thriving businesses as hair braiding salons, website developers, social media consultants, and tea and spice companies. This position will extend MicroCare’s reach within the community and promote the sharing of technical assistance and financial education by coordinating social media strategies and creating virtual platforms through which more members of the community can access MicroCare’s resources and increase work skills and self-employment. The position will report to the Executive Director of MicroCare.

Member Duties : Activity 1: a) Develop an evaluation plan on MicroCare’s financial literacy and development training; b) Design qualitative and quantitative evaluation of financial literacy program to capture data, outputs, and outcomes of the evaluation; Activity 2: a) Review current model and implementation proactive for MicroCare’s financial literacy program; b) Identify gaps in the curriculum to see which objectives are not being met; c) Research credit builder programs; c) Re-write curriculum to adhere to identified learning objectives and ensure that curriculum is culturally relevant to clientele. Activity 3: Restructure policies and procedures of loan disbursement; b) Review and update the lending process with the aim of streamlining the process while adhering to financial compliance standards; c) Document changes and train staff.
