Mission: Ignite - Tech 360 (LitMN)

Mission: Ignite (M:I) seeks to improve the lives of underserved populations through technology. Tech 360 is the digital literacy education program that gives people the skills needed to advance in their educational and professional careers. M:I will use existing connections between community-based organizations and their clientele as a platform for deploying its Tech 360 digital literacy training program to underserved people. The project will function as follows: M:I connects with associations, like the Western New York Library Resources Council, to identify community-based organizations and libraries, like the Chautauqua-Cattaraugus Library System (CCLS), to recruit, support and train volunteers to become Digital Navigators (DNs). The DNs will bring M:I’s Tech 360 digital navigator model to hosting community organizations’ clientele. Finally, M:I will give participants who complete a Tech 360 digital literacy pathway a free refurbished computer and continual DN-run Tier-1 tech support. The AmeriCorps VISTA member coordinates and oversees all of these activities, reporting directly to the Program Director.
