21-22 Youth Job Readiness Asst

El Centro de la Raza's Business Opportunity Center (BOC) is looking for an Assistant for their Youth Job Readiness Training (YJRT) Program. The Assistant will strengthen the capacity of YJRT participants to learn the necessary tools in being able to find employment. They will also support participants and their families with their transition to the United States and help students find their way to a self-sustaining livable salary career. The YJRT Program Assistant will also work with staff and participants to establish partnerships, job placements and maintain relationships with job sites, provide class instruction, case management to students and assist with recruitment as needed.

Member Duties : Assists the YJRT Specialist to recruit prospective Ell students in Seattle Public High Schools. Provides job training, interview, and applicable job skills; coordinates with program staff to educate and prepare participants for job interviews and ultimate hire. Communication and one-on-one follow-up with YJRT participants to track success on all projects including internships. Salesforce data entry for projects, manage and monitor data on a variety of internet-based software programs and databases. Keep up to date all electronic and physical files. Assists with program reports. Maintain positive relationships with participants, schools, employers and on-the-job training providers. Assist YJRT Specialist on seeking opportunities for internships. Follows up with employers after a participant is placed in internship; advocates on behalf of the participants to employers.
