22-23 El Centro Financial Empowerment Program Assistant
As an organization grounded in the Latino community of Washington State, it is the mission of El Centro de la Raza (The Center for People of All Races) build the Beloved Community through unifying all racial and economic sectors; to organize, empower, and defend the basic human rights of our most vulnerable and marginalized populations; and to bring critical consciousness, justice, dignity, and equity to all the peoples of the world. The Financial Empowerment Program provides low-to moderate-income individuals with group workshops, one-on-one financial skills counseling, and enrollment assistance in lending circles, to increase their knowledge of banking, savings, establishing credit and increasing household financial stability. builds individual and household capacity to improve credit, reduce debt, and increase savings. The Financial Empowerment Program Assistant will engage with students and program staff to support student success in increasing overall financial literacy and improving financial security.

Member Duties : The financial Empowerment Program Assistant will assist in intake assessments, preparing lesson plans, coordinating program activities, support staff in conducting 1:1 financial counseling sessions, providing technical assistance in creating budgets, enrolling in lending circles, and monitoring savings goals. Participant data collection and program data analysis using Salesforce database, assist with donor and organizational reporting materials.
