Proud Ground Communications Coordinator - MCNW

Proud Ground, located in Portland, Oregon creates permanently affordable homeownership opportunities using the Community Land Trust model to ensure multi-generational stability. Our community is comprised of members of Proud Ground’s Community Land Trust, reaching both rural and urban communities throughout Oregon. The VISTA member placed at our agency will assist in developing program communications, coordinating evaluations, and designing pre- and post-purchase educational workshops. AmeriCorps VISTA members perform only indirect service; interaction with clients will be limited and the member will spend the majority of their time in an office setting or remote. However, the Proud Ground VISTA member will play a dynamic role in ending poverty by improving the organization’s communications to better support homebuyers and homeowners. As a Proud Ground VISTA member, you will be part of a cohort of AmeriCorps members serving throughout Oregon and Washington State and coordinated by Mercy Corps Northwest. Member Duties : As a VISTA member at Proud Ground you will help end poverty by ensuring low-income households have access to first-time homeownership through the Community Land Trust model. Major functions will include building upon the new technology, database, and digital communication tools to streamline the Homeownership program. VISTA members serve their communities through indirect service. While the programs you will develop will endure for years you will not have direct interaction with our clients and you will likely be based in an office setting (or working remote).
