AmeriCorps Volunteer Recruitment Member--Higher Achievement
 
 
 
The Volunteer Recruitment member will typically serve Monday through Friday with some Saturday hours. Most service activities will take place between 9am to 5pm except for evening trainings and mentoring site visits. The Volunteer Recruitment Fellow may alter their start time for any days they expect to serve late because of trainings or site visits. The main responsibilities will include recruiting volunteer mentors to fill the 325 yearly positions and strategies on mentor training and retention.

Member Duties : The Volunteer Recruitment Member role is a full-time stipend volunteer position, made available through partnership with the AmeriCorps Program. The term of service will begin in September and end in August, with the option to renew for a second term. The position includes both direct involvement with scholars, and administrative tasks, to support Higher Achievement’s progressive, skills-based cultural and academic model. Working closely with the Senior Manager of Volunteers and Curriculum to identify, recruit, train, and support volunteers. Responsibilities will focus on four key areas: • Volunteer recruitment • Volunteer onboarding and training • Study Hall Aide recruitment, management, and training • Act as a Center Buddy
