Recruitment Lead Fellow- National Service EXL
 
 
 
Position Summary The AmeriCorps Recruitment Fellow will support Napa County Office of Education (NCOE) in strengthening recruitment and retention efforts for its AmeriCorps National Service Team. This role is essential to expanding outreach, building partnerships, and increasing awareness of service opportunities. About NCOE & AmeriCorps Programs NCOE has operated AmeriCorps programs for nearly 25 years in Sonoma, Napa, and across California, managing: AmeriCorps EXL – Provides tutoring and mentoring to disadvantaged students. NCOE fosters an inclusive and equitable environment, valuing diversity and the power of service to unite communities. Program Overview The Recruitment Fellow will enhance the program’s capacity by: Expanding outreach and engagement efforts. Increasing AmeriCorps member applications and retention. Strengthening partnerships with colleges, businesses, and nonprofits. Promoting the program through social media, presentations, and recruitment events. Key Responsibilities Conduct capacity needs assessments and develop action plans. Expand outreach via presentations, career fairs, and partnerships. Maintain and update program websites, social media, and recruitment materials. Track and analyze recruitment data. Engage AmeriCorps Alumni in recruitment efforts. Requirements Service Commitment: 11 months (Jan–Nov 2025), 40-45 hours/week in person. Qualifications: 18+, high school diploma/GED, background check clearance. Skills: Organized, responsible, ethical, and safety-conscious. Member Duties : Identifying and implementing effective recruitment strategies to increase the capacity of AmeriCorps programs is a significant component of the AmeriCorps Recruitment Lead Fellow role, as are the creation and execution of retention strategies, planning for and hosting recruitment and alumni events, and developing ways to build and appreciate partnerships. Overall, the Recruitment Lead will be charged with creating and refining systems to recruit and retain quality AmeriCorps members.
