Recruitment Lead Fellow- National Service (VIP and EXL)

NCOE has been operating AmeriCorps Programs for nearly 25 years in Sonoma, Napa, and throughout California. AmeriCorps is the only federal agency for community service and volunteerism. AmeriCorps is a National Service opportunity that invites individuals to serve alongside each other for the betterment of every community. NCOE manages two AmeriCorps programs: 1) AmeriCorps VIP (Volunteer Infrastructure Project), where members strive to strengthen & build volunteer programs by engaging the community in volunteering. 2)AmeriCorps EXL (Expanded Learning) which provides hands on tutoring and mentoring to disadvantaged students in Napa and Sanat Rosa schools. NCOE values and nurtures an environment that is respectful, courageous, inclusive and equitable. We believe service is a way to bring people together and bridge divides; connecting individuals to individuals, and individuals to organizations that can help us tackle society’s toughest challenges. We are strengthened by the diversity of our members, and welcome the unique contributions that you bring to our program. In an effort to strengthen the recruitment and retention of AmeriCorps members, the AmeriCorps Recruitment Fellow will be dedicated to expanding and building the program’s capacity and their partnering organizations to effectively recruit and retain members. The AmeriCorps Recruitment Lead Fellow will work with the NCOE National Service team to expand community outreach, build social media presence through active posting and coordination with partner agencies, and promote the transformational impact of the program on populations with whom they serve. Partner agencies will become more efficient and effective through increased community awareness, resulting in an increase in volunteer and national service participant interest, retention and new partnerships with institutions of higher learning and local business/foundations.
