Meadow River Valley Community Center

The Meadow River Valley Community Center project provides community development programs to residents (individuals, families, neighborhoods, communities, businesses, and organizations) of the Meadow River Valley, which spans parts of Greenbrier and Pocahontas County, WV. The VISTA will help build the capacity of the center, located in Rupert, WV, by researching funding, identifying and involving stakeholders, developing a volunteer program, developing materials, and leading outreach. The VISTA's efforts will move people out of poverty by creating a means for MRVA to provide crucial services, including child care, job opportunities, healthcare access, and expanded emergency services to a community devastated by the 2016 floods.
