Agency Training Coordinator - Arizona Food Bank Network

With the abundance that our country has, no person should go hungry, which is why the Arizona Food Bank Network’s (AzFBN’s) vision is a hunger free AZ. AzFBN is a network of 5 food banks, with their 1000 associated pantries, that is a state-wide anti-hunger agency who combats hunger through advocacy, innovation of new efficient ways to combat hunger, and supporting food banks and pantries to feed those in need. Ensuring that the 1000 food pantries throughout Arizona operate successful nonprofits is vital to guaranteeing the continued supply of food to those who are hungry, and, for that reason, AzFBN is recruiting a VISTA to manage the support and training of food pantries and nonprofits combating hunger throughout Arizona. In addition to developing and implementing trainings, workshops, and educational materials, the VISTA will also support food pantries in myriad other ways to overcome the obstacles they face, and coordinate the disbursement of funding from AzFBN to specific target food pantries to implement projects aimed at increasing their sustainability and capacity. We are seeking a VISTA that is passionate about our work of feeding the hungry, has experience in training, educating, and supporting others, and enjoys engaging with diverse groups of people to develop successful projects.
