Stewards VISTA: Friends of Laguna Atascosa

VISTA would work under the Visitors Services Program of the Refuge, which provides opportunities for the public to participate in priority wildlife-dependent and other recreation activities. This program is also very educational-dependent projects, focusing designing and finding funding for marketing strategies for increased community engagement in Refuge and Friends events and maintaining and growing the internship program with the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley, and is the main avenue for outreach components of the Refuge. The VISTA would help with capacity building projects that benefit the Refuge and Friends.
