2020 Habitat Resource Development VISTA - Spooner, WI

Habitat for Humanity’s vision is a world where everyone has a decent place to live. Nearly 20% of Wisconsin residents pay more than 50% of their family income for housing. With an already large but increasing need for affordable housing in our state, the 38 local Habitat for Humanity affiliates in Wisconsin are working hard to address that need by partnering with low-income families to build, rehab or repair homes. The Habitat for Humanity of Wisconsin VISTA program’s goal is to strengthen affiliates and increase their capacity. With passion, commitment, and hard work our VISTA members help affiliates as they bring individuals and communities out of poverty. Wild Rivers Habitat for Humanity Wild Rivers Habitat for Humanity was established in 1997 and has built 46 new homes and completed over 400 Brush With Kindness projects. They now serve four counties in beautiful northern Wisconsin, with their main offices and one ReStore in St. Croix Falls and a second ReStore in the quaint town of Spooner, WI. Wild Rivers HFH neighbors the St. Croix Falls National Scenic Riverway and Interstate Park – popular for rock climbing along the river.
