VISTA Leader
 
 
 
The VISTA Leader will lead a team of six VISTAs. The Leader will expand the capacity of the GOYFF Bright Futures VISTA Program by building communication, cooperation and collaboration between the VISTA members and leveraging each assignment as part of a greater network of support for GOYFF programs. The Leader will play a strategic role in member recruitment, retention, and performance and plan and conduct on-site orientation and training. The VISTA leader will guide the recruitment efforts through community outreach and marketing efforts. Only applicants who have completed a year of National Service can qualify to become a VISTA leader.

Member Duties : As the Leader serving the AmeriCorps VISTA program at GOYFF, the member will be responsible for assisting in member recruitment, retention, and training in conjunction with the AmeriCorps Program Administrator. The VISTA Leader will provide support and mentorship for the VISTA members serving at GOYFF. It is not a supervisory role, but a role that fosters growth and success in the VISTA members. The Leader will Develop and implement recommendations for continuous improvement, training, and reporting of VISTA Members and their work, engage in and support ongoing supervision and project management of VISTA Members, supports strategies for ongoing education of AmeriCorps and VISTA in the community, and supporting the VISTA recruitment, retention and training processes
