Stewards VISTA: Friends of Lyndon B. Johnson NHP 2021
The focus of the project is to expand capacity to deliver new and innovative programming which will reach a broader audience, address the challenges of greater participation while exploring the opportunities to further educate and advance the concepts within the President’s domestic agenda. The VISTA will develop program and project concepts that tie to the President’s domestic agenda; specifically look to develop youth programs; and develop a strategic outreach plan. The VISTA member will continue the groundwork for growth established by Year One Stewards VISTA by conducting research and applying for funding sources; establishing new partnerships with donors, the media, and community shareholders; develop databases for donors and volunteers; create templates for outreach and event planning; and communicate regularly with stakeholders through various social media platforms. The VISTA member will assist with and/or lead programs or projects for the Park based on the President’s Great Society and War on Poverty legislations. Park housing is provided at no cost to the VISTA.
