San Antonio Clubhouse is a community-oriented non-profit organization in San Antonio, TX whose mission is to provide community, opportunity and hope for adults diagnosed with mental illness using the evidence-based Clubhouse recovery model. This model of recovery supports adults by providing opportunities for our members to build relationships with others, and work towards their goals while contributing to the Clubhouse community. Our Clubhouse strives to be a direct reflection of the needs of our members and the abilities of our members and staff and does so through a variety of programmatic offerings, including but not limited to: our Clubhouse Career Program, which provides employment support to our members through job search assistance, resume help, mock interviews, and employer advocacy; a Nutrition and Wellness Program, which provides low-cost, subsidized, nutritious meals and snacks to members, physical wellness activities, and educational workshops; and Hydroponic Urban Growth (HUG), which operates a hydroponic farm capable of producing literal tons of vegetables per year. Member Duties : At the heart of San Antonio Clubhouse's mission is community, and strong partnerships are crucial to that. This VISTA project will support existing partnerships and build new ones through the evaluation of the current systems in place to track and maintain partnerships. To ensure the success of our Employment Program, which connects adults with mental health conditions to meaningful work, the VISTA will create sustainable employment solutions on both ends of the hiring spectrum by helping to develop a work-readiness assessment, as well as identifying and reaching out to prospective employers to coordinate meetings and presentations.
