Marketing and Outreach Coordinator VISTA

The United Way of Lowndes County and Noxubee Counties (UWLNC) VISTA project will identify the needs of families to address food deprivation and secure healthy living in the community. UWLNC provides funds to nonprofits in the Lowndes and Noxubee Counties. We are focusing on agencies who assist with food, utility, and healthy securities. UWLNC will provide essential tools for VISTAs and expand the current efforts of partnering agencies by ensuring that partnering organizations have funds to replenish pantry needs and health related requests. UWLNC works to ensure each agency has the volunteers needed to successfully carry out their efforts. The impact of this project will assist families with access to opportunities to eliminate the perpetuation of poverty in the local communities. Our goal is to impact more individuals in low-income communities to increase the number of families served, and to enhance and empower families and others in the community. Our goal is to benefit at least 100 families working with partnering agencies. The VISTA member’s support in service will enhance the overall quality of life for the families and will eventually be the narrative to end poverty.
