Cahaba Assistant Development/Outreach Coordinator VISTA
 
 
 
The goal of this project is to build capacity for Cahaba Riverkeeper’s science-based programs through development and outreach activities to protect, restore, and promote the Cahaba River and its water basin in Alabama. We patrol the waters and respond to pollution complaints and take action to ensure the problem is resolved. We educate the public about swim safety and trash abatement through active monitoring initiatives. We educate via social and mass media and in classrooms, including a school-based clean water and environment curriculum for middle school science teachers and students to raise awareness and knowledge of clean water.

Member Duties : The VISTA will create a plan and materials to grow membership and donor retention. They will also identify research funding opportunities and draft grants.
