Team Lead Financial Empowerment AmeriCorps Program - DC
 
 
 
As the part-time Team Lead AmeriCorps Member at the Bass Circle Community Center site serving 15-25 hours a week, you will help create and maintain the unified marketing, communications, and data platforms as well as help coach your fellow AmeriCorps Members on how to use them and effective community engagement and volunteer recruitment practices. Like your fellow AmeriCorps Members, you will also be trained to teach a financial literacy course designed by the Capital Area Asset Builders and receive a modest living allowance during the year and an Education Award. Our AmeriCorps Members also receive monthly professional development webinars on social media marketing, public service career tracks, and more.

Member Duties : As the AmeriCorps Team Lead serving 15-25 hours a week, your strength and experience with community engagement, digital marketing, and virtual platforms will support the efforts of eight AmeriCorps Members dedicated to providing financial empowerment courses to affordable housing community residents in DC. In addition to being trained in teaching the financial literacy course, duties and responsibilities include 1) developing branded marketing materials; 2) updating social media and creating blog posts that promote the program; 3) working with AmeriCorps members to develop and execute community outreach plans; 4) gathering data from all program sites; 5) troubleshoot virtual conferencing issues with Members and participants; 6) provide insight to Members on community engagement and volunteer recruitment; 7) be the lead coordinator for two National Days of Community Service and community events, such as free tax preparation and MLK Day of Service.
