Paradise, DC - AmeriCorps Financial Empowerment Educator
 
 
 
As a part-time AmeriCorps Member at the Chauncey Spruell Community Center site serving 15-25 hours a week, you will be trained and entrusted to teach a highly effective financial literacy program designed by the Capital Area Asset Builders as well as gain experience in digital marketing, class management, and community organizing. Our AmeriCorps Members receive a modest living allowance during their year and an Education Award. Our AmeriCorps Members also receive monthly professional development webinars on social media marketing, public service career tracks, and more. Member Duties : As one of eight AmeriCorps Member serving 15-25 hours a week, you will receive training and be entrusted to 1) teach a highly effective financial literacy program online; 2) lead local digital marketing and course enrollment; 3) increase community awareness of verified free-to-low-cost financial services; 4) track and support the progress of your classes; 5) and collaborate with Resident Coordinators to organize community events, such as free tax preparation and MLK Day of Service.
