Community Engagement & Outreach VISTA - SE Ohio FB

The Southeast Ohio Foodbank, a Hocking Athens Perry Community Action (HAPCAP) program, is a dynamic non-profit that works to end hunger in Southeast Ohio. We mobilize food, support, and resources to create a lifeline for people in need and to increase community access to healthy food. We are a distribution center and community hub that collects and distributes government-funded, donated, and purchased food to our member agencies in our 10 county service area. Our network of member agencies operate programs such as food pantries, hot meal sites, shelters, and other hunger-relief programs. Our Regional Kitchen prepares meals for Meals on Wheels, Senior Congregate dining, Head Start meals, and Summer meals. Additionally, we have a team of Community Health Specialists who work on Food is Medicine initiatives: they deliver food boxes and offer wraparound services to individuals in our communities who are pregnant, new parents, or have chronic conditions.
