Predatory Lending Program AmeriCorps Member CCCNMO
CCCNMO is looking for ideal candidates to serve in part-time or full-time positions. Founded May 17, 2011, Catholic Charities of Central and Northern Missouri is a 501(c)(3) social service agency that provides a range of programs and services to those in need in our 38 county service area regardless of faith, culture or situation. We operate food pantries, welcome refugees from around the world, and care for those struggling with mental illness and other health conditions, in addition to other services. In today’s world, many individuals are stuck in a cycle of debt that creates barriers to self-sufficiency. Many have resorted to “predatory loans” which only makes the problem worse. Catholic Charities is starting a micro-lending program to replace those predatory loans with a traditional bank loan and provide financial education to break the cycle of poor financial decision making. We are looking for a motivated, compassionate individual to help us establish this program and provide key financial education that will help break the cycle of predatory lending!
