Member Duties : Engagement & Resource Members:
AmeriCorps members, serving as ERMs will work with partners to provide resources to families that assist in the resolution of systemic issues that create barriers for youth attending school regularly. ERMs will maintain a robust and in-depth database of community resources to help families with issues such as transportation, homelessness, joblessness, food scarcity, etc.
Youth Success Coaches:
AmeriCorps members, serving as YSCs will work with school staff/admin, teachers, ERMs, and community partners to provide academic interventions and support to youth in grades 1st to 8th. Academic services and supports include: school-time tutoring, supplemental instruction, in-class mentoring, positive behavioral modeling, and activities in SEL and Trauma-Informed methods.
