'20-'21 Resilience Coordinator VISTA

The Resilience Coordinator VISTA will build capacity within Family Education and Support Services and our community to address anti-poverty strategies, which build resilience, hope and self-sufficiency for vulnerable populations. The VISTA will research evidence based strategies, convene intra-agency and community meetings to identify a plan of action, support the implementation of the planned strategies, collect and report data, and build a scaffolding for future sustainability. The VISTA will work closely with our Agency Leadership Team in order to intertwine Resilience, Hope and Anti-Poverty strategies into existing evidence based service delivery and across other community service delivery systems. Efforts will include building a scaffolding for the provision of financial literacy training and support for vulnerable populations along with trauma informed equity and cultural humility trainings for community providers. While our mission is to ensure the healthy development of children, we recognize our strongest strategy is to support the adults who have the greatest influence on their well-being in reducing poverty and improving assets. The Resilience Coordinator VISTA will help build hope and resilience in our community in an effort to improve outcomes for children, youth and families. This VISTA position is one of building hope and supporting the community in promoting resilience.
