The Center for Women in Transition provides comprehensive, wrap around services to women reentering the St. Louis community from jail/prison. By providing transitional housing, mentoring partnerships, basic necessities, case management, and more, the Center works to reduce recidivism and strengthen our community.

Member Duties : The VISTA Member will increase the Center’s organizational capacity to better serve and support justice-involved women’s transitions from incarceration to home through improving Center events and communications. The VISTA member will have a long-term impact on alleviating poverty in the St. Louis community by helping the Center more effectively engage the community through events and communications. This will increase both financial and social support for women transitioning from incarceration, almost all of whom are below 20% AMI when they enter Center programs.
 
Program Benefits : $150 housing subsidy at select locations ,  Housing ,  Health Coverage* ,  Training ,  Living Allowance ,  Relocation Allowance ,  Childcare assistance if eligible ,  Choice of Education Award or End of Service Stipend .
