iMentor Baltimore – Post-Secondary Program

iMentor builds mentoring relationships that empower students to graduate high school, succeed in college, and achieve their ambitions. By partnering with public schools and matching every junior and senior student in the school with a mentor, iMentor leverages the community to reimagine how public high schools support young people through the post-secondary pathway process. iMentor Baltimore currently serves students at our two school partner sites: Baltimore Design School and the Academy for College and Career Explorations. We recognize the need in our community for student support that has a strong college focus and a thoroughly inclusive model that highlights the many other professional pathways that exist for our city’s youth. The overall goal of the VISTA project is to position iMentor Baltimore to successfully launch our full PSP programming for students, measure its efficacy, and share its learning and resources with other organizations. iMentor Baltimore is seeking an AmeriCorps VISTA to join our team as our Post-Secondary Program (PSP) VISTA to work directly with the Senior Director of Program to research and aggregate high-quality post-secondary pathways for graduating high school students, collect student data about the post-secondary decision-making process, assist with the creation of customized PSP plans for every student in our program, and assist with amplifying this work throughout the field through the convening of a PSP Taskforce with other organizations in our community.
