City of Austin TARA Digital Literacy VISTA

The Telecommunications and Regulatory Affairs (TARA) Digital Literacy VISTA will develop a training program to better market digital inclusion and literacy services to the low-income East Austin community. They will also expand partnerships with non-profit groups and other City departments to implement this training program and develop materials to train the trainers. The digital literacy training program will break the cycle of poverty by teaching adult populations of low-income and gentrifying areas the skills they need to navigate jobs and systems that grow ever more dependent on technology.
