AmeriCorps Summer Associate COVID-19 Contact Tracer
 
 
 
Through a unique collaboration with the State of Colorado, The Corporation for National and Community Service, Community Resource Center, and Conservation Legacy, this program will provide timely and necessary support to the current COVID-19 pandemic efforts throughout the state of Colorado. The first of its kind, the AmeriCorps VISTA Summer Associate Contact Tracing program will assist the state of Colorado in tracing the spread of COVID-19 and informing potentially exposed community members across the state to slow the spread of COVID-19 and ensure that our communities can stay healthy and remain so. About Community Resource Center: CRC's mission is to create opportunities, tools and strategies to develop nonprofits and community groups to strengthen Colorado. Nonprofit organizations play an important role in improving the quality of life in Colorado. Through CRC’s statewide programming, VISTA members will gain a broad understanding of Colorado’s nonprofit sector and the state’s many unique rural communities while supporting COVID-19 contact tracing and response efforts.

Member Duties : Contract Tracers will call individuals diagnosed with COVID-19 and those they have come in contact with to determine exposure, assess symptoms, refer for testing according to established protocols, determine social support needs, and provide them with instructions for isolation or quarantine. Contact Tracers are required to follow a script and adhere to policies and procedures provided by state and local partners. They will also comply with requirements regarding confidential personal information Tracers will work under the leadership and supervision of the State of Colorado, who will organize them into teams that are then allocated according to demand at the county or city level. This position will involve serving in a position of trust with the public, and may require a background check completed by the State. Contact Tracers will start in late June/Early July, and will serve terms of 8, 9, or 10 weeks. Full position description and application: https://www.colorado.gov/servecolorado
