Member Duties : The Madison Community Development Authority (CDA) provides affordable housing to nearly 3,000 households throughout the City of Madison, Wisconsin. CDA aims to ensure safe, decent, and affordable housing; create opportunities for residents’ self-sufficiency and economic independence; and assure fiscal integrity by all program participants. As a new member of the ConnectHome community, CDA aims to lower the digital divide in HUD assisted housing by increasing the number of residents that are computer literate and have internet access. The VISTA will work individually and in collaboration with the ConnectHome project team to research and apply for funding opportunities, develop partnerships to obtain free or low cost devices, develop a communications toolkit in collaboration with the City IT department, develop a new digital literacy program with a focus on financial literacy, and participate on the ConnectHome project team in order to help coordinate project activities as necessary.
