Christian Service Capacity Building VISTA
 
 
 
The YWCA NWLA Poverty Reduction Initiative project affects low-income underserved people in Northwest Louisiana, including Caddo and Bossier Parish, Louisiana. Christian Service is a community-based non-profit that serves homeless and low-income persons in the Shreveport area. Their services include a soup kitchen operating 7 days a week, clothing assistance and emergency assistance. The Capacity Building VISTA will improve services to clients, obtain increased funding, improve awareness of the services in the community, and to expand the program's current outreach efforts into the community. This will be done by assessing and creating systems to improve awareness, fundraising and increase services to clients.

Member Duties : Review all systems and technology being used to improve capacity to track client services, compile service numbers and outcomes, and to organize information. Improve the public awareness of Christian Service in the community. Develop online donation and fundraising options to support and expand services of Christian Services.
