Member Duties : The Volunteer Coordinator will lead recruitment of high-quality and dedicated volunteers and mentors to support all Kid Power programming. Kid Power provides services to DC families through four core programs: 1) After-School, 2) In-School, 3) Summer Leadership Academy, and 4) Alumni and Mentors. The Volunteer Coordinator will be responsible for recruitment, intake, training, and supporting volunteers for all core programs, including one-time volunteers and groups, repeat volunteers, and dedicated volunteers serving as mentors, greatly affecting the capacity-building of the organization.
