The VISTA will collaborate with the CSD and school officials to assist in the expansion of affordable after school/virtual enrichment programming and additional activities by capitalizing on the existing support and relationship with the University to utilize students in mutually beneficial ways. -The VISTA will assist Millersville and Price Elementary school leadership to increase parent and community involvement, focusing primarily on increasing parental/familial participation in school programs, including better attendance at home, virtual and school meetings, parent-teacher conferences, and other events throughout the year all leading to student success.

Member Duties : The VISTA will assist in: Building capacity as a Year 3 to solidify partnerships with the Community School Director, develop, schedule, and execute after school and remote learning programming that includes opportunities to increase parental and business community involvement. -Mobilize volunteers from Millersville University and the Lancaster community to volunteer at Price and Lafayette Elementary F2F or remotely. -Finalize the coordination student/community volunteers for after school and parent/community engagement programs for Price ES students. -Ensure smooth transition to close out VISTA project.
