'20 Community Engagement VISTA - CAC - VIP
 
 
 
This position is part of the VISTAs in the Piedmont (VIP) program sponsored by United Way of the Piedmont. As a VISTA at Children’s Advocacy Center of Spartanburg, Cherokee, and Union Counties, you will create and implement social-media and website strategies. You will develop and implement new fundraising strategies for the organization. You will help to improve the current system of volunteer management. The VIP program offers a unique approach to VISTA service, as you will spend 10 percent of your time each week working collaboratively with 19 other VISTA members placed in the community to research and implement community-wide solutions focusing on either increasing access to behavioral healthcare or increasing financial stability. Member Duties : Help increase Children’s Advocacy Center of Spartanburg, Cherokee, and Union Counties’ (CAC) capacity to serve all children in need of CAC services by increasing community engagement and awareness, developing new fundraising initiatives, and improving CAC's current system of volunteer management. The VISTA will expand the current social media and website outreach, develop and implement new fundraising strategies, and develop a volunteer calendar to further the impact of CAC volunteers.
