Primary Tasks: 1. Research the programs, policies, procedures and resources that are currently in place related to volunteer recruitment and management and identify best practices from other programs. 2. Document research and communicate findings to site leadership and gain further direction to move forward with developing a volunteer recruitment and management strategy. 3. Based on the information gathered, develop a volunteer recruitment and management strategy that will address the needs of Community Partnership of Southeast Missouri. This strategy may include improved volunteer engagement plans, selection of volunteer management software and volunteer recognition plans, but will be guided by the research completed in the exploration phase. 4. Implement the new volunteer recruitment and management strategy. 5. Ensure that the volunteer recruitment and management strategy is sustainable and will continue at the host site after the completion of the Vista project term by documenting the plan and training staff/volunteers. 6. Write volunteer task descriptions that include: qualifications, activities, benefits, time commitment, and other expectations. 7. Increase volunteer retention and reliability by creating improved systems for volunteer support, recognition and management. 8. Create volunteer generation plan, volunteer manual, formal screening process, formal volunteer orientation, systems for measuring volunteer impact, etc. 9. Promote volunteer activities and opportunities through both traditional and social media advertising. 10. Create a robust monthly calendar showcasing a variety of projects available for community engagement. 11. Develop ongoing reports to demonstrate impact through volunteerism 12. Identifying and securing resources for new or expanded programming through volunteer engagement or in-kind donations. 13. Assess program needs and match them with appropriate volunteer roles and skills.

Member Duties : This position will work along side the Executive Director and Program Directors to directly engage the broader communities served by Community Partnership of Southeast Missouri to recruit and retain volunteers. The responsibilities of this position require thorough attention to detail, excellent written and verbal communication skills, management and organizational skills, and the ability to understand the big picture needs of Community Partnership of Southeast Missouri with an emphasis on volunteer engagement and record keeping.
