ShareCorps- Breakthrough Cincinnati Summer Associate

Breakthrough Cincinnati (BTC) transforms the lives of young people through our unique academic enrichment experiences. Our summer program, Summer Scholars, gives vulnerable middle school students a boost through academic, leadership, and college preparatory experiences. At Breakthrough Cincinnati, students experience the "it's cool to be smart" culture that inspires them to adopt a college-bound mindset and prepares them for the rigors of college. Alongside their also motivated peers, they learn from college-age Teaching Fellows and staff who really connect with them. The organizations 31-year time-test, students teaching students model empowers youth and college students to achieve their potentials as learners, teachers, leaders, and agents of change in their communities.

Member Duties : Spending the summer as a Breakthrough Cincinnati staff member is a highly rewarding experience. There is a unique blend of hard work and big impact that lead staff to feel deeply connected to the students, to each other, and to the purpose of the program. The VISTA member will oversee the daily operating systems of the summer program. This includes: oversees scheduling, transportation, food service/delivery, volunteers, social media activity, and program supplies. The position also required some administrative work with the implementation and record keeping for the USDA food program. Member will also collect and organize program operations and evaluation paperwork. Become a member of our awesome team and help change the lives of youth in the greater Cincinnati area!
