ASHF, Development Coordinator
 
 
 
The VISTA will serve on ASHF’s Development team, working directly alongside the President to create and maintain a database of fundraising resources, event sponsors, and donors to assist with ongoing development efforts. The VISTA will also support the President in developing the online presence of ASHF, which will expand agency fundraising capacity while increasing visibility and awareness amongst community members and potential clients. These activities will allow ASHF to both provide more resources dedicated to client services, while better informing Chicago area residents of the availability of agency services through social media outreach. ···· The VISTA will serve as part of an intra-agency team studying and refining A Safe Haven Foundation’s model. The project is intended to identify and systematize best practices and update agency policies and procedures to reflect the most recent evidence-based recommendations for substance use social service care provision. This will allow ASHF to effectively scale its services and better serve homeless individuals in Chicago — particularly those at high-risk for opioid addiction — ultimately helping them transition out of poverty by creating greater access to treatment and other services.

Member Duties : Establish a database to track agency donors, fundraising sources, and event sponsors. Research potential funding opportunities, sponsorships, and donor relationships. Implement and communicate the President's branding vision/guidelines across the organization. Update development project plans and catalog standard operating procedures for events, press conferences, and speaking engagements. Coordinate event logistics and marketing, including contacting potential event sponsors, writing sponsorship proposal letters and following up with contacts.
