Heart Reach - Program Development Coordinator

Heart Reach Neighborhood Ministries is a faith-based 501c3 organization that operates three community centers, two in Youngstown, Ohio and one in Campbell, Ohio. All are located in low-income communities and offer emergency assistance, commodities distributions (food, clothing, school supplies, winter clothing for children, etc.), daily programming for children (after school, during school and summer), and teen leadership and workforce readiness training. We also coordinate the largest summer feeding program for children in the greater Youngstown area. We partner with numerous local churches and organizations to meet the needs of children. One of the biggest causes of hunger in our area is limited access. We provide food for children daily, coordinate summer and weekend meal programs, as well as partner with other agencies to promote good nutrition. Assistance is needed to increase our volunteer force for this effort.

Member Duties : As our VISTA member, you will play a crucial role in increasing food access and promoting key programming serving youth and families in our community. Rallying key players around our cause, you will develop and implement innovative volunteer and partner recruitment strategies. You will increase the participation and engagement of businesses, schools, and other organizations, growing awareness and collaboration. Recruiting additional host sites for the Summer Food Service Program, you will ensure that local children receive needed meals during the summer months. Finally, your role will also include expanding our social media presence and creating engaging content around our mission. Become part of our team today!
