COHO Strategic Development VISTA

City of Hope Outreach's mission is to Provoke Hope in Human Beings through Holistic engagement, one Life, one Family, one Community, over time for the glory of God. At City of Hope Outreach, we believe that everyone is inherently worthy of dignity and respect. While City of Hope Outreach is a faith-based nonprofit organization, VISTAs are not permitted to participate in religious activities or influence others to participate in religious activities as part of VISTA placement. VISTAs may not be admitted to the program based directly or indirectly on religious affiliation. The work we do at CoHO is vital to helping those living in poverty to see their true value and potential, as well as breaking down misconceptions about poverty and homelessness. We provide a foundation for those in under-resourced areas to build upon, and connect our volunteers to the reality of living in an under-resourced community and what we can all do on a daily basis to help. Communication is a vital role and achieving our mission by connecting our message to the public in a way that can easily be understood, and shines light on the solutions we offer. Communication is also imperative to helping breakdown the misconceptions surrounding poverty that keep us divided.
