Festa - Volunteer Coordinator

Festa addresses the needs of immigrant families and their children in Central Ohio and beyond. We provide family-focused ESL educational and enrichment programs, expanding opportunities available for all to succeed. Our areas of focus include: Removing barriers to employment for parents by improving their English language skills; Providing developmental enrichment for children: early literacy, homework help, leadership and entrepreneurial training; and Rallying a community of support to surround each member of the family. People are our priority; relationships are our goal. Since 2007, we have listened and responded to our friends in need of support and found that a loving community where all feel cared about and belong, changes lives. Our flagship programs include: 1: 3-Generation Family English as a Second Language (ESL), where each family member, infant through grandparent, receives the education they need to move OUT of poverty. 2: Festa Free Summer Lunch Camp + Adult ESL, welcoming children facing poverty from culturally diverse backgrounds to join us daily for friendship, recreation, reading support, special activities and a nutritious, free lunch. Adults enroll in English classes while children attend camp.
