ShareCorps - NOCAC - Technology & Impact Leader
 
 
 
The Northwestern Ohio Community Action Commission (NOCAC) is a locally controlled, private, non-profit organization that was incorporated in 1965. Dedicated to planning, developing and coordinating programs and services designed to combat problems of poverty, NOCAC has been at the forefront of meeting the emerging needs of the community for more than 50 years. NOCAC is a primary source of direct support for more than 5,500 low-income households in Defiance, Fulton, Henry, Paulding, Van Wert, and Williams Counties in Northwest Ohio. NOCAC also operates a homeless shelter/soup kitchen and facilitates a variety of community programs including: Emergency Services, Publicly Funded Child Care; Head Start/Early Childhood Education; Rapid Re-Housing and Homelessness Prevention; Home Weatherization, and the new Financial Opportunity Center.

Member Duties : This position will expand the reach of NOCAC Financial Opportunity Center (FOC) services through the integration of technology into service delivery and digital literacy efforts to equip consumers with the knowledge necessary to benefit from services. In this role, you will evaluate digital literacy resources, researching best practices. Identifying unmet needs in the community, you will strategically implement digital literacy efforts to fill gaps. You will also research underlying factors driving inaccessibility to technology in the community. With this data, you will develop partnerships to connect low-income consumers with technology needed for financial self-sufficiency. Additionally, you will recruit volunteers capable of connecting families to technology resources. Finally, you will also increase the efficiency of organizational data entry and reporting processes, simplifying reporting systems and reducing the occurrence of duplicate entries.
