ASHF, Veteran Project Coordinator

The VISTA will work within ASHF's Veteran programming department to support the Program Manager and staff with identifying, recording, and implementing information storage systems and standardized operations policies for all aspects of the program. These activities will allow for more effective utilization of resources by ensuring the program reduces administrative redundancies and streamline record-keeping. This position will also work closely with the Director of Programs and the Program Coordinator VISTA to maintain consistent Standard Operating Procedures across the organization. ···· The VISTA will serve as part of an intra-agency team studying and refining A Safe Haven Foundation’s model. The project is intended to identify and systematize best practices and update agency policies and procedures to reflect the most recent evidence-based recommendations for substance use social service care provision. This will allow ASHF to effectively scale its services and better serve homeless individuals in Chicago — particularly those at high-risk for opioid addiction — ultimately helping them transition out of poverty by creating greater access to treatment and other services.
