Adirondack Interscholastic Athletic VISTA Project Manager
 
 
 
To help ensure that low-income children/students of the AuSable Valley Central School District receive educational services assisting them to build a motivational foundation of supports to ensure lifelong success in school. After-school programming, and athletics expansion and efficiency will allow students to connect to school, therefore increasing attendance and their academic success. These programs will build capacity in developing sustainable solutions and create programs/services that meet the needs of the rural low-income community by motivating students to actively be involved in their learning.

Member Duties : The VISTA member will build the capacity of after-school & expanded learning programs that serve low-income children, along with athletic & healthy programs.They will also increase opportunities for students, faculty, & staff to engage with and support local after-school programs, along with growing local awareness of the importance of after-school programs & of national service/volunteerism. Some of the VISTA activities will be as follows: Review current school practices related to the athletes code of conduct & student athlete contract & review design to ensure efficiency Survey students to identify additional opportunities for engagement Design & test current after-school & athletic programming to enhance opportunities & efficiency. Review practices & policies for official games & other activities related to field day events & student clubs to ensure efficiency & improvement. Review current marketing & communication processes.
