Internship Program Liaison VISTA
 
 
 
The New Jersey YMCA State Alliance (NJYSA) is seeking an Internship Program Liaison with strong writing and program development skills to create, pilot, replicate, and sustain a statewide internship program which places high school and college students in YMCA and community organizations serving low-income and/or undeserved populations. The position will advance the YMCA purpose of strengthening community through our three areas of impact: Youth Development - empowering young people to reach their full potential; Healthy Living- improving individual and community well-being; and Social Responsibility- providing support and inspiring action in our NJ communities.

Member Duties : 1. Create in cooperation with the state program coordinator internship goals, objectives, and projects. 2. Research existing high school & college internship programs and identify best practices. Develop program framework. 3. Develop plan to pilot program with potential stakeholders. 4. Create system for intern recruitment. Develop and maintain electronic intern application form and eligibility guidelines. 5. Create protocols for work site selection and develop guidelines for supervision. 6. Develop orientation, training, and professional development plan for interns.
