Vincentian Ohio Action Network VISTA
 
 
 
The Vincentian Ohio Action Network is a growing network in Central Ohio that promotes the leadership of people experiencing poverty to be on the front lines of social and policy change. VOAN manages a program called Accompanying Returning Citizens with Hope (ARCH) that provides support to those returning to the community from incarceration. ARCH raises awareness within faith communities and community organizations on reentry. ARCH provides opportunities to help returning citizens and their families with navigation and linkage to local resources, direct assistance, and peer support groups. ARCH is building a network of employers and business leaders that promote second chance employment and assists persons with criminal records to access jobs. We believe in the power of relationships and the strength of a well educated public. As such, ARCH helps educate, provide resources, and equip business leaders interested in learning more about how to offer employment opportunities to returning citizens. We also provide leadership training to those directly impacted by the justice system. This VISTA position will provide capacity building support for engaging the volunteer base associated with the ARCH program, strengthening our communications and marketing of these programs, documenting and cataloguing our outcomes, and supporting our fundraising efforts to help maintain and grow our work.

Member Duties : The VISTA will help with the following: Program review, design, and development for our ARCH reentry initiative Tracking our online and social media impact, setting goals and plans based on previous data Obtaining feedback from partners and participants to improve our outcomes and program delivery Creation of various online, printed, and written communications necessary to educate the public and promote our work to our members, community partners and funders Leadership program development activities that would increase knowledge of staff and volunteers and build program capacity Fund development plans and special events.
